Banqueting Coordinator

Work-Force

An opportunity has arisen for a Banqueting Coordinator in Cape Town. Suitably qualified candidates from across Western Cape are invited to apply.

What This Role Involves

The Banqueting Coordinator vacancy forms part of how the Cape Town branch keeps performing. It pairs day-to-day delivery with longer-running priorities that keep the hospitality jobs side of the business moving forward.

Notably, the organisation keeps reporting lines clean and expectations realistic. Performance is measured against a small, agreed set of metrics, and there are no surprise yardsticks for the Banqueting Coordinator taking on this position.

Notably, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Cape Town also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.

Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Banqueting Coordinator to step into the hospitality jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.

A Typical Day

Your shift usually starts with a brief from the duty manager, a quick station check and a look at the day’s bookings or specials. As guests arrive, you slip into a steady rhythm — warm welcomes, accurate orders and seamless coordination with the kitchen and bar. Service peaks demand calm focus and tight teamwork, and quieter moments are spent resetting tables, polishing glassware or training a new starter. When the last guest leaves happy, you know you have delivered a memorable hospitality experience.

Importantly, the Cape Town office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Beyond that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Western Cape operations throw up the unexpected.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Cape Town.

What We Offer

You will join a team that values respectful collaboration, honest feedback and shared wins. The Cape Town colleagues take pride in supporting one another and in doing the hospitality jobs side of the business properly, day in and day out.

Beyond that, the package, working arrangements and any available support will be confirmed by the hiring organisation for this vacancy.

Career development may be available depending on the role, business needs and the hiring organisation’s policies.

Equally, the role’s development opportunities, training and benefits, if offered, will be set out in the final vacancy details.
