In-Service Trainee Engineering

Work-Force

This is a current vacancy. Role: In-Service Trainee Engineering. Location: Lephalale, Limpopo. The team is hiring and seeks a candidate who can step in and deliver from week one.

The Role

The organisation is investing in its Lephalale operation, and this In-Service Trainee Engineering position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the in-service training function and contribute to the wider Limpopo business.

Communication runs both ways. Managers across the in-service training team in Limpopo make time for one-to-ones, and people are expected to speak up early when something needs attention.

Stakeholders for this position include line managers, peers across the in-service training team and trusted external partners. Building those relationships early makes the next twelve months in Lephalale much easier.

Tools, systems and information are there to support the role rather than slow it down. The company continues to invest in the technology that backs its Lephalale teams, and the new In-Service Trainee Engineering will feel that from the first week.

What Your Day Looks Like

Your day starts with a quick check-in with your mentor and a review of the tasks you’ll shadow or own. You spend time observing experienced colleagues, asking questions and trying small pieces of work yourself. As the day progresses, you capture notes for your logbook, attend team huddles and contribute where you can. The mix of structured learning, real workplace exposure and supportive feedback helps you turn classroom theory into skills you can actually use.

Practically speaking, the Lephalale office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Lephalale.

On top of that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Limpopo operations throw up the unexpected.

Growing With Us

Beyond that, this role can grow with you. Strong performers in the in-service training team in Lephalale have moved into senior, supervisory and specialist positions, and that journey is supported through coaching, training and exposure to bigger projects.

Growth conversations happen at a regular cadence — not just at year-end — so the path forward stays current and realistic for every Lephalale team member.

Training is a mix of formal courses, structured on-the-job learning and exposure to broader projects, all geared at building practical skills.

Internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Lephalale have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Limpopo.
