Nursing Auxiliary

Work-Force

Step into a Nursing Auxiliary role in Mdantsane and make your mark across Eastern Cape. The team is hiring now and wants to hear from sharp, committed candidates.

Overview

The organisation is investing in its Mdantsane operation, and this Nursing Auxiliary position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the health jobs function and contribute to the wider Eastern Cape business.

Crucially, the role suits a candidate who values consistency and clear communication. The Mdantsane operation runs on accurate work, steady relationships and a genuine respect for the people in the team.

Reasonable working hours and respectful planning are part of how the role runs. The team values strong delivery, and load is balanced fairly across the health jobs group in Mdantsane.

A Typical Day

You start your shift with a thorough handover, picking up patient histories, treatment plans and any concerns from the previous team. The morning is paced but purposeful — vital signs, medication rounds, bedside conversations — and you’re constantly switching between clinical tasks and the very human work of reassuring patients and families. Multi-disciplinary rounds give you a chance to advocate for your patients, and by the time you hand over again, you have done meaningful work that makes a real difference to the people in your care.

Importantly, the Mdantsane office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Equally, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Eastern Cape operations throw up the unexpected.

Your Workplace

On top of that, the environment is clinical, regulated and patient-centred. Shift work, infection control protocols and clear scope-of-practice boundaries are part of every working day.

Equally, the working environment is set up to give the team the focus needed for deeper work, while keeping collaboration and quick problem-solving close at hand.

Health, safety and well-being are taken seriously. Current policies and procedures are maintained, and the Mdantsane site adheres to the standards expected of a responsible South African employer.
