Driver Assistant

Work-Force

A vacancy has been confirmed for a Driver Assistant based in Postmasburg, Northern Cape. The successful candidate will join an established team within the logistics jobs function.

The Role

The Driver Assistant vacancy forms part of how the Postmasburg branch keeps performing. It pairs day-to-day delivery with longer-running priorities that keep the logistics jobs side of the business moving forward.

Communication runs both ways. Managers across the logistics jobs team in Northern Cape make time for one-to-ones, and people are expected to speak up early when something needs attention.

Quality is everyone’s job. Whether the Driver Assistant is processing a transaction, supporting a colleague or handling a customer query, the standard expected in Northern Cape is consistently high and consistently fair.

Tools, systems and information are there to support the role rather than slow it down. The company continues to invest in the technology that backs its Postmasburg teams, and the new Driver Assistant will feel that from the first week.

Day in the Life

Your day kicks off in the yard or at the dock, checking schedules, briefing your team and lining up the day’s priorities. You move between receiving, picking, dispatch and the WMS, keeping a close eye on accuracy and time slots. There are constant conversations — with drivers, controllers, customers and the warehouse floor — and the better you communicate, the smoother things run. By the end of the shift, the racks are tidy, the trucks are out, and the next inbound load is already on its way.

Notably, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Northern Cape operations throw up the unexpected.

Equally, the Postmasburg office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Beyond that, the team you will be working with is fast-paced and energetic. Things move quickly across the Postmasburg office, and the people who thrive here are the ones who plan ahead, communicate openly and pick up the slack when Northern Cape operations get busy.

Collaboration is the default working mode. Whether picking up a quick query or working through a complex project, you will find colleagues willing to lean in and help.

Line management is hands-on without being heavy. Expect regular one-to-ones, honest feedback and the support needed to do good work consistently.
