Work-Force
Applications are warmly invited for a Workplace Learner Retail role based in Sandton. We welcome candidates from every background across Gauteng who are ready to grow with us.
The Role
This Workplace Learner Retail role has been briefed against a clear set of outcomes for Sandton. The successful candidate will work alongside an established team and will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the in-service training pipeline across Gauteng.
Communication runs both ways. Managers across the in-service training team in Gauteng make time for one-to-ones, and people are expected to speak up early when something needs attention.
The role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Sandton also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.
A Typical Day
Your day starts with a quick check-in with your mentor and a review of the tasks you’ll shadow or own. You spend time observing experienced colleagues, asking questions and trying small pieces of work yourself. As the day progresses, you capture notes for your logbook, attend team huddles and contribute where you can. The mix of structured learning, real workplace exposure and supportive feedback helps you turn classroom theory into skills you can actually use.
Crucially, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Gauteng operations throw up the unexpected.
No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Sandton.
Our Commitment to Transformation
Beyond that, the organisation supports a respectful workplace. Applications are welcome from suitably qualified candidates across Gauteng, and recruitment is intended to be fair and transparent.
Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Sandton.
Notably, the hiring organisation’s applicable employment-equity and inclusion practices will be explained in the final vacancy details for Gauteng.
