Delivery Driver

Work-Force

Applications are warmly invited for a Delivery Driver role based in Germiston. We welcome candidates from every background across Gauteng who are ready to grow with us.

The Role

The Delivery Driver position is part of an ongoing recruitment drive across Gauteng. The brief has been shaped carefully, with a focus on delivery in Germiston and across the logistics jobs space.

Day-to-day, the role balances focused delivery with the kind of collaboration that keeps things moving. The successful candidate is trusted to make sensible decisions inside the agreed scope, with line-management support whenever a sounding board is useful.

Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the Delivery Driver to step into the logistics jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.

Beyond that, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Germiston also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.

About the Team

Practically speaking, the team you will be working with is fast-paced and energetic. Things move quickly across the Germiston office, and the people who thrive here are the ones who plan ahead, communicate openly and pick up the slack when Gauteng operations get busy.

Collaboration is the default working mode. Whether picking up a quick query or working through a complex project, you will find colleagues willing to lean in and help.

Beyond that, the team structure and working relationships for this role in Germiston will be explained during the hiring process.

Line management is hands-on without being heavy. Expect regular one-to-ones, honest feedback and the support needed to do good work consistently.

What We Offer

Few roles let you see the impact of your work as quickly as this one. Every shift, project and decision in Germiston contributes to real outcomes for clients and colleagues across the logistics jobs space in Gauteng.

Career development may be available depending on the role, business needs and the hiring organisation’s policies.

Importantly, the role’s development opportunities, training and benefits, if offered, will be set out in the final vacancy details.

Crucially, the package, working arrangements and any available support will be confirmed by the hiring organisation for this vacancy.

A Typical Day

Your day kicks off in the yard or at the dock, checking schedules, briefing your team and lining up the day’s priorities. You move between receiving, picking, dispatch and the WMS, keeping a close eye on accuracy and time slots. There are constant conversations — with drivers, controllers, customers and the warehouse floor — and the better you communicate, the smoother things run. By the end of the shift, the racks are tidy, the trucks are out, and the next inbound load is already on its way.

In addition, the Germiston office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Beyond that, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Gauteng operations throw up the unexpected.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Germiston.

Growing With Us

This role can grow with you. Strong performers in the logistics jobs team in Germiston have moved into senior, supervisory and specialist positions, and that journey is supported through coaching, training and exposure to bigger projects.

Notably, internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Germiston have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Gauteng.

Training is a mix of formal courses, structured on-the-job learning and exposure to broader projects, all geared at building practical skills.

Growth conversations happen at a regular cadence — not just at year-end — so the path forward stays current and realistic for every Germiston team member.
