Electrician opportunity in Cape Town, Western Cape.
A leading manufacturing client in the packaging sector is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with dedicated experience in specialized packaging environments who is looking to advance their career with a stable industry leader.
Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain, fault-find, and repair electrical machinery and equipment within the production facility. Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize plant downtime. Troubleshoot complex electrical and automation failures on packaging and extrusion/forming machinery.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize plant efficiency and operational performance.
Requirements
Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal qualification is essential). Direct operational experience in the plastics, packaging, or corrugated packaging industries is a must. Strong fault-finding abilities with industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and control circuits.
Proven track record of working safely and effectively in a high-volume manufacturing plant environment. Willingness to work shifts or respond to call-outs when necessary. Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
