Overview

The organisation is investing in its Giyani operation, and this HR Generalist position reflects that commitment. The successful candidate will work across the hr jobs function and contribute to the wider Limpopo business.

On top of that, the role suits a candidate who values consistency and clear communication. The Giyani operation runs on accurate work, steady relationships and a genuine respect for the people in the team.

Beyond that, the role has been written to be sustainable, not just busy. Strong output is expected, and managers in Giyani also pay attention to recovery, learning and the kind of breathing room that keeps people doing good work over time.

Internal documentation, process notes and shared playbooks make it easier for the HR Generalist to step into the hr jobs workflow quickly. Institutional knowledge is well-organised, so people are not reinventing the wheel from one week to the next.

Based in Giyani

Working in Giyani means a place in the Lephalale energy corridor, with a steady flow of activity and a strong local economy. The team has built solid relationships across the Limpopo region, and the Giyani office benefits from those long-standing connections.

Accessibility is taken seriously: where the role allows, the team works toward a balance of in-office presence and flexibility for candidates based in and around Giyani.

If you are relocating, the team can share practical pointers on neighbourhoods, transport and the typical pace of life in Giyani, Limpopo.

Many candidates already living within reach of Giyani cite the location as one of the role’s quiet wins, with shorter commutes and a real sense of being plugged into the local Limpopo economy.

Our Commitment to Transformation

Inclusion is a core part of how the team operates. This is an equal-opportunity employer, and candidates from all communities — including women, youth and persons living with disabilities — are encouraged to apply for this role in Giyani.

Practical steps back the words. Structured EE reporting, transformation initiatives and learnership programmes give real opportunities to candidates from across Limpopo.

B-BBEE compliance is more than a scorecard here. It informs how the business invests in skills development, supplier diversity and community engagement across the country.

Inclusive hiring extends through onboarding and into how teams operate every day. Respectful, fair conduct is expected from every team member in Giyani.

What Your Day Looks Like

Your day is people-shaped from the moment you log in. You move between recruitment screens, manager calls, payroll queries and the occasional sensitive conversation that needs your full attention. Mid-morning you might be running an onboarding session for new starters, and by the afternoon you’re back at your desk preparing EE or B-BBEE reports. Through it all, you balance compliance with care, making sure that policies are followed and people are heard.

In addition, the rhythm rewards people who plan ahead but also pivot quickly when Limpopo operations throw up the unexpected.

No two days look exactly the same — and that variety is part of what keeps the role engaging for the right candidate in Giyani.

Notably, the Giyani office buzzes through peak hours and settles into focused, productive lulls in between, giving you time to plan and reset before the next stretch of work.

Your Future Here

This role can grow with you. Strong performers in the hr jobs team in Giyani have moved into senior, supervisory and specialist positions, and that journey is supported through coaching, training and exposure to bigger projects.

Training is a mix of formal courses, structured on-the-job learning and exposure to broader projects, all geared at building practical skills.

Notably, internal mobility is encouraged. People who start in Giyani have moved into roles in other branches, specialist functions and project teams across Limpopo.

Growth conversations happen at a regular cadence — not just at year-end — so the path forward stays current and realistic for every Giyani team member.
