As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining store standards. Your responsibilities will include managing transactions, adhering to stock loss controls, and creating an inspiring shopping environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Exceed customer expectations by applying effective customer selling techniques.
- Establish professional relationships with customers, providing friendly, helpful, and courteous assistance.
- Address and resolve customer stock queries promptly.
- Report customer compliments and complaints to management.
- Sales and Stock Management:
- Ensure individual sales targets are consistently met.
- Maximize sales opportunities and drive turnover by identifying and acting on sales opportunities.
- Adhere to stock loss controls and ensure all outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned and paid for.
- Transaction Management:
- Process all purchases, including verifying and processing payments via cash, cards, vouchers, coupons, and other acceptable methods.
- Process all loyalty cards, including those from accelerated partners.
- Store Maintenance:
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and uphold visual merchandising guidelines to optimize sales.
- Create an inspiring and engaging shopping environment that reflects the brand.

Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Experience:
- Up to 6 months of retail experience.
- Special Conditions:
- Clear credit and criminal record.
- Willing and able to work retail hours.
- South African citizen.
Advantageous:
- Experience:
- 1 year of work experience within retail.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of current clothing trends or outdoor lifestyle (depending on the brand).
